New stand plans
THE IRVIN BROWN STAND
The Irvin Brown Stand has now been completed, and was opened by Mrs Janet Boyle (Irvin’s Daughter) and Alex Pike a friend and college of Irvin. This was done prior to the 2009 annual Irvin Brown Memorial Match on Cup Final Day. It was felt that this was appropriate as it was at these games that most of the money required to build the stand was raised.
The net amount required to build the stand was £28,214.35. Just over half this money was raised by donations from Irvin’s family, individuals, Companies, and Organisations many connected to the Irvin Brown Memorial Matches. The remainder of the money required came from a grant from the FA Stadia Improvement Fund.
