This is the first year that Hamworthy United have run a Sunday Team, and very successful it has been too. They are currently the Dorset Sunday League Division One leaders having not lost a game all season, and have not dropped even a point winning every game to date. The team consists of many of our players that turn out on Saturday for the First or Reserve Sides together with a few others who just play for the Hammers on a Sundays. First Team mid-fielder Micky Hubbard is captain of the side that is managed by Neil Fletcher, and sponsored by David Hughes of The Hamworthy Car Centre. Neil Fletcher’s men also had a successful run in the FA Sunday Cup reaching the last thirty two before going out to Mayfair United from Surrey by the odd goal in three. The Sunday Team plays their home games at the County ground, and kick off at 10-30am on Sundays in their league matches. Admission is free so why not come along and watch.
