Dorset Sunday League Division One (Sunday 17-02-08)

The Hammers Sunday Team got back to winning ways after losing their last match against Windgreen Corfe Mullen who are their nearest rivals for the title. As the score 4-3 suggests it was a close game but United could not prevent losing their first points of the season, and with them their 100% record in the league.

United won this match against bottom club Wallisdown Sports, as expected quite comfortably by 8-0.  There was never in any danger of slipping up a second time in a match they dominated from start to finish.

Hamworthy are now nine points clear of Windgreen with just five league matches remaining. This must make them hot favourites to win the title, and Hamworthy’s best bet for a trophy
