HAMWORTHY UNITED RES. 1 POOLE BOROUGH 1

Dorset Premier League (Saturday 04-10-08) ( Some Extracts Taken from the Dorset Premier Website) Fourth placed side Poole Borough shared two goals and the points on their short trip to the County Ground to play Hamworthy United. The Hammers welcomed back their long serving player Bret Williams into the team to play his first game following a long layoff due to injury. His experience at the back proved to be a big plus in the Reserve’s much improved display. Following a fairly even first half Gary Williams playing his first game back with United, gave the Hammers the lead just before the break. The Borough got on top in the second half, and on the hour the Hornets drew level. A well taken goal by Ross Edwards gave Luke Wines the Hammers Keeper no chance to save. The Hammers held on to take a well earned point This was the Hammers second point of the season, but not enough to take them off the bottom. They will however look to brighter things to come as more players become available to them in the near future.
