The Hammers once again more than held their own against a team playing in a league two steps above the Wessex Premier next season. Weymouth took the lead when their defender broke up a Hamworthy attack and noticed United’s Dan Ackerman on the edge of his box. A clever lob over the keeper from some distance saw the ball find the back of the net to record the only goal of the game. Hamworthy more than matched their opponent for the rest of the game, but once again could not score from their many opportunities.
