The Magna Dorset Premier League (Friday 13-08-10)

Hamworthy United’s first game of the season featured several new players in their line up played under lights on Friday evening because of the First Team FA Cup game the following day.

The whole game was played at a hectic pace with both teams going all out to get their first points on the board. It was Hamworthy who took an early lead with a well taken goal by Jack Satterley. Hamworthy kept the lead until nearly half time before Sherborne scored a disputed second goal. James Merritt appeared to have been fouled before play was allowed to continue and the Visitors go on andequalise.

The Town took full advantage of some slack defending early in the second half to take the lead and scored again ten minutes from the end.
